Chained to the Rock
Andromeda is an Aethiopian princess chained to a coastal rock as an offering to a sea monster, sent by Poseidon after her mother boasted that Andromeda's beauty surpassed the Nereids'. She is entirely a bystander to the insult that condemns her.
