Asclepius

The Healer Who Went Too Far

Asclepius is a son of Apollo and the greatest healer in Greek myth, taught medicine until his skill reaches the one boundary the gods are unwilling to leave negotiable. He learns not merely to cure the sick but, in later accounts, to restore the dead themselves.
