Deucalion is Prometheus's son, which means that when Zeus decides to drown the corrupt Bronze Age of humanity, Deucalion is warned in time to build a chest large enough to survive it. He and his wife Pyrrha float for nine days and nights before landing on the one peak the flood never covers.
