The Rainbow
Iris is the rainbow personified, daughter of Thaumas and the Oceanid Electra, and one of the primary messengers of the gods alongside Hermes. She carries commands swiftly between Olympus and earth, and holds one particularly solemn duty: fetching the water of the river Styx whenever a god must swear the unbreakable oath.
