Companion of Achilles
Patroclus is Achilles' closest companion, and the one whose death finally ends Achilles' withdrawal from the war. With the Achaeans pressed back to their ships, he begs to wear Achilles' own armor and lead the Myrmidons out, since Achilles himself refuses to fight.
