Queen of Mycenae
Clytemnestra is Agamemnon's wife, left to rule Mycenae during his ten years at Troy, and deeply changed by what happens in his absence: the sacrifice of their daughter Iphigenia at Aulis, done so the fleet could sail at all. When Agamemnon finally returns, she kills him, tangling him in a robe or net and striking him down without hesitation.
