Twice-Born
Dionysus is unusual among the Olympians in almost every respect, starting with his birth. His mother, the mortal Semele, is destroyed after asking to see Zeus in his true divine form. Zeus rescues the unborn child from the fire and finishes the pregnancy himself, sewn into his own thigh, so that Dionysus is, in effect, born twice, once from each parent.
